Accommodation Services
The University offers a range of quality accommodation in the halls of residence on Campuses and off Campuses. All University residences are within an easy walking distance. All International Students are guaranteed with University accommodation in the main campus that provides a safe, comfortable and supportive living environment.
Accommodation is handled by the Sokoine University of Agriculture Staff Housing and Students’ Accommodation Bureau (SUAHAB). The Internationalization office works with SUAHAB to arrange for suitable accommodation on Campus upon request. The accommodation fee per annum is $140 for undergraduate and $1200 for postgraduate students.
It is advised that for safety, all international student should find rooms provided by the University.
International students can opt to arrange for off-campus/Private housing of their own choices.

Health Services.
Sokoine University of Agriculture, provides health care services to all students, staff members, staff families and to the general public. There are hospitals in every campus of Sokoine University of Agriculture. At Edward Moringe Campus, the health Centre is located near the Auxiliary Police Station. At Solomon Mahlangu Campus, health services are provided through the Sokoine University of Agriculture Hospital. Similarly, Mizengo Pinda Campus is served by an on-site health centre.
Students are required to fill in the Medical Examination Form as specified in the admission letter. The Medical Examination Form should be filled and approved by a recognized Medical Practitioner since your admission at the University will depend on a satisfactory Medical Report.
Also, all students should have an International Health Insurance Card that provides basic health insurance which can be used in Tanzania, if not, then it is required that you enroll for the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) of Tanzania. The International Office assists International Students to apply for local health services.

Banking Services
SUA through Students Welfare and Administration Department assist International Students to open a Bank Account while studying in Tanzania. The banks that have branches at the Main Campus are the CRDB Bank and the National Microfinance Bank (NMB),
All the Banks have ATM services around the main Campus that support Visa and Master Cards; International Students can also access Bureau de Change services in all banks.
