Prof. Jonathan Stephen Mbwambo

Prof. Mbwambo is an Associate Professor of Development Studies and currently serves as the Coordinator for Internationalization at Sokoine University of Agriculture. He previously worked as an Assistant Director for higher education at the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology. From 2018 to 2023, he was employed by the Inter-University Council for East Africa as the Regional Coordinator for the World Bank-funded East and Southern Africa Higher Education Centers of Excellence Project (ACE II). He boasts a distinguished academic background, holding a PhD in Development Studies from Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania, as well as a Master of Science degree in Management of Natural Resources and Sustainable Agriculture, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture. Additionally, he has published over 50 articles in internationally recognized journals.

Mr. Abubakar Omary Malinza

Mr. Malinza serves as a Liaison Officer at the Internationalization and Convocation Unit of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). His responsibilities include organizing meetings for the Executive Committee of the Convocation, the SUA Chief Executive Officers Alumni Forum, and the Convocation Annual General Meeting. Additionally, he solicits scholarships from international agencies and organizations, establishes national and international attachments, internships, and exchange programs for SUA students and staff, and fosters strategic partnerships between SUA and other institutions both locally and internationally.

Before this role, he was a Lecturer at the Development Studies Institute at SUA. From 2008 to 2011, he also worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the same institute. Prior to his academic career, Mr. Malinza served as the Assistant Program Coordinator for Action Aid International in  Kigoma Region. Mr. Malinza has earned a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from Sokoine University of Agriculture, a Postgraduate Diploma in Poverty Analysis for Socio-Economic Security and Development from the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, the Netherlands, as well a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Dar es Salaam.

Ms. Riziki Benjamin Kyando

Ms. Riziki serves as Secretariat at the Internationalization and Convocation Office of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), where she oversees student exchange initiatives, institutional linkage programs, and the initiation and management of SUA’s membership in regional and international forums, consortia, and institutions to advance the university’s internationalization agenda.  Ms. Riziki possesses extensive experience in coordinating program activities, particularly in health-related and psychosocial programs. She has served as a Community Development Officer in Ileje District, Songwe Region, and has held positions as Regional Programs Officer in Mbeya Region and Regional Programs Manager in Ruvuma Region under the Family Matters Project (FMP). Additionally, she has worked as a consultant for Helen Keller International, contributing to the assessment of maternal anemia in Mbeya Region. Beyond her professional roles, Ms. Riziki is actively involved in extracurricular activities, serving as a Children and Youth Teacher (CYT). She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Dar es Salaam.

Ms. Annabella Ladislaus Muyombana

Ms. Annabella is a Secretariat  at the Internationalization and Convocation Unit of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). Currently, Ms. Annabella serves as an international officer coordinating international students’ social and accommodation matters. Ms. Annabella has worked as a Civics and History teacher at SUA secondary school from 2012 to 2021 . Ms. Annabella holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Jordan University College in Morogoro and a Diploma in Secondary School Teaching from Morogoro Teachers College.

Mr. Ogelloh Evance Obunga

Mr. Ogelloh Evance Obunga serves as a Secretariat Officer at the Internationalization and Convocation Unit of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). He is specifically responsible for coordinating the preparation of equivalent certificates for international students, managing applications for student passes, visas, and residence permits, facilitating the arrival of international students and their supervisors, and developing an alumni database for international students. Prior to joining SUA, Mr. Ogelloh worked as a Teacher at Mzumbe Secondary School from 2020 to 2022. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with  Education degree from  Jordan University College, Morogoro.
